From 2000 to 2003 the GDP had a few fluctuations. Firstly, the GDP started with a growth of 4% in 2000. The rate slightly went downwards over 5% in 2001. Then in 2002, it experimented a recovery, it returned to its starting point, very similar to the number registered in 2000, around 4%.
In 2003, the GDP growth had a slight decrease by about 3% and from this year the percentage had an upsurge of 5% in 2004.
Between 2004 and 2007 the trend was very consistent, it remained at a percentage reasonably similar across the 3 years, with more or less than 5%.
In 2007 the GDP rate reached the highest peak of the decade with a growth of 6%, after that number, it started to decrease similarly to the beginning of the decade (4%).
In 2008 the GDP plunged into negative growth below -1%, the lowest point throughout 10 years.The next year (2009) rose significantly to 2% but still was less than the 2000 registered percentage.
