Hi
What word would you pick to say
Are the police still (open/operating/working) after the government shutdown?
Is the Post Office (open/operating/working) on weekends?
Note, that I'm looking for a word that can be used appropriately in similar contexts, those examples I gave you are just to help you understand what I'm after.
