Are the phrasal verbs "tag on" and "tag off" separable or inseparable?

Are the following sentences grammatical?

I forgot to tag my smartrider off.
You need to tag your smartrider on.

It refers to a smart (fare) card used in western Australia. "Tag on / off" relate to adding / subtracting value from the card.
