Are the following expressions still common?

I want to know whether the following expressions are still commonly heard in North America and in The UK. Or are they just used in jest nowadays?

It's raining cats and dogs.
Let's paint the town red.
It cost(s) an arm and a leg.
Okey dokey
He's a pain in the neck.
I'm on top of the world.
I'm in seventh heaven.
I'm on cloud nine.
Thanks a bunch.

Thanks

In the UK these are all well known expressions. At first glance they all seem usable (none particularly standing out as old-fashioned or for jocular use only, for example), but in practice, despite their familiarity, I think that some are not actually very widely heard in everyday conversation. The ones that I can imagine very readily using myself are: "pain in the neck" and "thanks a bunch" (always sarcastic).

  • "okey dokey" and "costs an arm and a leg" are heard fairly frequently, I guess; the others probably less so.
