Are 'purchase' and 'quantity' correctly used in the sentences?

Are 'purchase' and 'quantity' correctly used in the sentences? (Should I say 'quantities'?)

1. Miss Jones demonstrated accuracy in calculating the amount of her customers’ purchase.
2. Cory ensured that the products customers had bought had exact quantity.

2. Cory ensured that the products customers had bought had exact quantity.

#2 seems like an odd thing to want to say. Do you mean, for example, that if the customer asked for 6 vases, she ensured that the customer was given 6 vases?
