Are native English speakers taught how to use an English dictionary in their formal education?

Hi, I would like to know if native English speakers are taught how to use an English dictionary in their formal education? If yes, in what grade? If not, under what circumstances a native English may get to learn how to use one?

Please let me know what country you are from in reply to my question. Thank you for your help.

I don't remember ever being taught that. Do you find it difficult to use a dictionary? I'm from Britain, but I live in Canada Clive

I'm from the UK, England in particular and schools here use years instead of grades.

The answer to your question is no. All we did in English lessons was analyse poems and stories.
