Are my verb tenses correct

In English class we have been reading short stories after that the teacher gave us some questions to answer the questions are not easy they are hard our teacher wants us to think outside of the box and the participation plays a important rule in the class but unfortunately I am not a active participant I have been trying my best to be an active participant but sometimes I am not sure about my answers and when someone else raise their hands and have the same answer as mine and then I am telling my self oh my gosh I could have answer that and get mark for my participant I should trust my guts however sometimes my answers are not right I have never got 5 out of 5 in my short stories most of the time I have got 4 or 4.5 some times I have got 4 for participant and 5 for written work the teacher would add these marks and divided by two some times its opposite. The free reading is the easiest thing we are doing every Friday and I love it. I love to read books and we are getting mark for it we are supposed to bring a book a our own.

Anon, May I make a suggestion? You've got to learn to use punctuations consistently and properly. I am getting a headache reading this post!

I think you are doing really well. I can understand everything you have written. I think that should copy and paste that into another thread and add the punctuation. Then it is easier for us to correct it for you. Have confidence and your language will improve a lot quicker as participating is the key. Making mistakes is something that I still do as a native speaker but the only way to learn
