Are my sentenses correct?

1. He was apprised to come for an interview at 2 PM.
2. He was apprised about the issue.

I think about isn't incorrect, but of is much more common. He was apprised of the issue.

1. This isn't right. You cannot apprise someone to do something.

2. As I mentioned in another thread, you normally apprise someone of something, not about.

AS GPY also said in the other thread of 'apprise': It is a formal word. In everyday situations use "told" instead.
