Are my sentences correct?

1. She is a widow and she does not have kith and kin.
2. I have spent nice time with my kith and kin during the function.

We very rarely use 'kith and kin in modern BrE. I would say. She is a widow with no friends or relations.

We very rarely use 'kith and kin in modern BrE. I would say.

She is a widow with no friends or relations.
I spent a nice time with (my) friends and relations at the function.
