Are living vs live

Hello dear teachers and friends!

Would you please tell me which one is correct? Is there any difference between them?

Do you know what you are living for?

Do you know what you live for?

Thanks.

Hi, Both are OK. #1 sounds a little more like you are focusing on the present time. #2 sounds a bit more like you are focusing on the person's whole life.
