Are in the advantage of someone

I tried to translate this into english naturally, may a native help me with these?

1 Statistics are always in the advantage of the person collecting the data on which the stats are based.
2 Statistics are always in favor of those that report.

Thank you

Hello Rover,

If I wanted to continue the sentence is the brackets part grammatical?
Statistics are always biased in favour of the person collecting (the data on which the stats are based.)

And would it be correct to say leaving out Biased

Statistics are always in favour of the person collecting them.

Thank you so much

I've nothing to add to my earlier reply, except to say that the statement is highly contentious.

Although as you are translating somebody else's text, there's nothing you can do about that.
