Are ‘enjoy’ and ‘stay’ correctly used in my sentence?

Are ‘enjoy’ and ‘stay’ correctly used in my sentence? Please help me. Thank you.

Mrs. Thompson gave her opening remarks, hoping that the studentry would enjoy their stay in the university.

Say students, not studentry.

enjoy is fine.

stay is not good. It makes the university sound like a hotel.

Say eg enjoy their time / experience in the university.
