Are both these sentences worded properly?
As the army marched south, it attracted more followers until, thousands strong, it sailed across the Straits of Schallsea to Abanasinia. All the while, Raistlin continued to rest and study, while letting Caramon command the army and come to understand his own intelligence and true worth.
