Are both sentences correct? (Context: Lira also recited her own poetry.)

1. Liza recited recited her poetry, and Lita did hers, too.
2. Liza recited recited her poetry, and Lita did, too.
3. Liza recited recited her poetry, and so did Lita.

#2 and #3 are correct, except that "recited" occurs twice in the sentences, and that doesn't make sense. Adding "hers" into the first sentence makes the word "did" different in meaning, and so, doesn't work well in the sentence.
