Both are correct. I would opt for the first choice, however, unless you are stressing "to ME" rather than to someone else.

Perhaps at the farmer's market, where the person bags for you, and you don't touch the produce yourself? I had the same "this/that" problem but thought of something like this as a possible scenario in which it would work.
