Hello. I'm wondering following three sentences are OK.
1. I had been doing Kendo for 5 years until I entered high school.

2. I had been doing Kendo for 5 years until high school.

3. I have come to understand the good points of classical music.

If you use 'until' then you shouldn't use a past perfect verb.
