Yes. "in mind" exists in English. "on mind" doesn't exist.

The two main uses of 'in mind' are 'have in mind' and 'keep in mind'.

Thanks. I also ways thought that 'in mind' is the correct one in all cases.

But why are there idioms on the net about 'on mind', suggesting occupying one's thought; or thinking about. That's why I was confused. Is that not American English or just wrong or outdated?

I have already said that 'on my mind' is OK. We have said, more than once, that 'on mind' (with no intervening possessive') is not possible.
