Appropriate use of 'yet'

I have a problem in using the word 'yet'. Though I know when to use this word, I make lots of mistake while using it in a sentence. Can you tell me which one of these is correct and why?

I'm not done yet.
or
I'm not yet done.

Both are acceptable, but the first one is much more common in spoken English.

Both sentences are correct because 'yet' acts as the adverbial modifier of the passive verb 'done'.
