Appropriate Textbook

Hi,
I currently work as Helpdesk operator with an international company. All of us are Czech and we do support in English only. As I have extensive experience with teaching English at language schools, I have been chosen to teach English to the other guys.
The textbooks I am familiar with include New English File (a favourite of mine), Headway, CAE/FCE (...) Result, some Czech ones etc. None of them seems to be up the task as I want to focus primarily on communication(see above our job position...Emotion: smile and use other sources to supplement grammar topics as necessary.

Can anybody suggest a good textbook that introduces primarily communication topics, phrases, sentences and leaves out (at least a bit) all grammar gibberish? Alternately, any good IT / Energetics textbook / website anybody finds helpful?

Thanks in advance,
BobEdel.

Hi Bob: There are lots of English / ESL books to choose from. But I find it best, in such a specific situation that you describe, to create my own, based on the students' needs, their levels of English, and the working environment. You can pick one of your favorites and pick out specific chapters, and supplement it with exercises.

Thanks a lot, gentlemen.
To create my own "syllabus" is actually a great suggestion (our company IT system provides interesting tools for that) yet I still prefer to build it upon something made by a professional. Practical English Usage is a valuable resource that I should have thought of myself (but haven't, my bad!), I will definitely use it.
