appropriate, fitting, suitable or fit?
Which are correct? Is there anything else that you might change?

The deputy commissioner knows everything about the association. He's covered it all in all the positions he's held since he started working for the league. I don't know anyone more fitting/appropriate/suitable/fit for the job than him.

The deputy commissioner knows everything about the association , because of all the positions he has held since he started working for the league. I do not know anyone more suitable for the job.
