Appropriate ellipsis?
Is it appropriate to use an ellipsis at the beginning of the second part of a quotation? See my example below:
"I come from under the hill," said Bilbo, " ... and over the hills my paths led."
"I come from under the hill," said Bilbo, " ... and over the hills my paths led."
