Grammar

approach

Hi everybody,

I have a grammar question.

Which preposition best completes the following sentence: to or for?

Reading offers a productive approach ........improving vocabulary and word power.

Thanks a lot

In my opinion, as far as grammar is concerned, both are acceptable

We have 'approach to sth'

"for + V-ing' can be used to show purpose

I think it is arbitrary. Neither a good question nor a good answer.
