Hi guys,

CJ, this seems to me to be apposition: She walked into the church, a fine 19th. century building, that she would attend every Sunday.

Milky, you ask What if she hadn't yet attended that church?

CliveHi guys,

It does sound a bit literary, though. A common alternative would be 'was going to attend'.

Best wishes, Clive

I wouldn't use "going to" if she didn't yet know she would attend that church.
