Roberto Firmino has made it Liverpool 2-0 Watford. (BBC Sport website.)

Is "Liverpool 2-0 Watford" in apposition to "it" in the above?

Top answer

I wouldn't say so. If spoken, the sentence would be read 'Roberto Firmino has made it [the score] Liverpool two, Watford nil'.
