appointment with a doctor over the phone

Is it okay to say "Please can I get an appointment with Dr B for next week?"

Thanks

Yes, it's OK, but I'd say 'have' instead of 'get'.

"for" gives a different meaning altogether.

I would say "Please can I have an appointment with Dr B (in the) next week?"

"in the" is optional.

That makes sense. I have used 'get' in the past but will refrain in the future.
