Letter Writing
Applying to a flying school for a Commercial pilot licence overseas.
Could some one please help me with my letter. I have tried my best to make it sound good.
Dear Ms ----------:
I am a resident of ---------, a commerce graduate, 40 years of age, currently self employed.
I am interested in pursuing a career in Flying and would like to enroll in your Flying Club for a Personal Pilot License and then for a Commercial Pilot License. I have no prior experience in flying.
I visited the web site of your flying club which is very informative. I have got most of the information from there, however I would like to get some additional information for applying to your Club for a PPL/CPL.
(1) Is there an age limit to apply for a PPL or CPL?
(2) What are the medical requirements and how do I go about them?
(3) What additional courses will I need to take up with CPL to apply for a Commercial Pilots job with an Airline, How much would the total cost for these courses be including PPL and CPL, and the time frame to complete the course?
(4) How do I get the application form for admission, and what are the formalities to be completed by me to get a Letter of acceptance from your club?
(5) About health insurance, am I covered under the club or I will have to get my own health insurance.
(6) Is there any waver in fees or in cost of flying for international students?
I would like to join your club in the end of January; I have not confirmed the date as yet.
