Application letter to foundation in UK

I am a dutch student currently looking for an internship in the UK. I have written a coverletter and would like to know if its well written.Thank you so much for your help.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This letter is with regards to the possibility of obtaining an internship at your foundation. The duration of the internship is for a period of 4 months, starting at the beginning of February 2011 and ending in June 2011. If deemed necessary, I would not mind staying for a longer period.

My name is .............. and I am ........ years old. Currently, I am a fourth year student at Zuyd University for Applied Sciences in Maastricht, enrolled in the European Studies program and specializing in management and communication. To conclude my studies an internship in an internationally oriented area is obligatory.

An internship at your foundation would be a wonderful opportunity, not only for my love of animals but also because I have been very interested in your foundation since I saw it the first time on television. I am very motivated and hardworking. Moreover, I speak English, German, Dutch and Portuguese and I am very eager to learn from new experiences.

Hopefully it would be possible to do an internship at you company as I cannot think of a better combination to combine my interests and set goals for my future career. If any other information is required, please do not hesitate to contact me.
