Application Letter for University

Question

Hello everyone.I'm writing this post because I need someone to help me with my letter.It's been a week since I've started working on it, but I've seen no progression.My letter is still not good, but I don't know how can I improve it. I've generally dont have any problems with writing letters, but an application letter is a completely different thing. I feel lost and I don't know what do I have to change, what do I have to add or remove.Please, can anyone take a look at it? (Since there are many possibilities of using such a degree, you might be more specific about what aspect you want to specialize in. )

I am currently studying Language and Culture Mediation at Università degli Studi di Milano, with English and Arabic as the two main languages and cultures. I am planning to get my Bachelor Diploma on April 2015 with a degree over 90% .(Do you mean a grade of 90%?)
My origins are Moroccan, but I grew up in Italy, so I am bilingual in Arabic and Italian. Thanks to my dual cultural background, I developed an important (acute?) awareness about the difference (misunderstandings which can arise...) which occur between intercultural relations and how language and culture mediation is important. ~~Arabic and Italian are my two native languages.~~ (Can you give an example of when this happened to you? It gets pretty boring reading your letter when you keep repeating "language and cultural mediation" and give no illuminating information or specific examples.)

I tremendously enjoyed my experience. I had the chance to meet people coming from all over the world and to share my same love for the Arabic Language.
At the university I attended an extra course about Arabic Media, focused on the analysis on the texts and the translation of the articles from Arabic into Italian. Thank to this course I understood how Media can be a powerful means of information, and how much is important the role of the translator to transmit the same power form the source text into the target text, and I realised that I wanted to focus my future studies on the Media of the Middle East.

During my studies I also had the opportunity to attend a course in Modern Standard Arabic at the International Centre of Arabic Studies, in Rabat (Morocco), the Qalam Wa Lawh school.

At the university (which university? instead say, eg. in the spring semester 2013) I attended an extra course in Arabic Media, which focused on the analysis of the texts and their translations of ~~the~~ articles from Arabic into Italian. Thanks to this course I understood how the media can be a powerful means (conduit?) of information, and how ~~much is~~ important the role of the translator is to transmit the same shades of meaning in ~~power~~ ~~form~~ the source text to the target text~~, and~~ That is when I realised that I wanted to focus my future studies on the Media of the Middle East.
