Application letter for university.

Hi! I'm applying for university next year, and I'd just finished my application letter. I'd love if someone could take a look, and maybe see if there is any major grammar mistakes or so. I would be most grateful Emotion: smile

Here we go:

------------

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the Nursing (Adult) programme at Middlesex University in London.

As a child, I suffered from croup, for five years in total. Every time I had a seizure and my mother brought me to the emergency, there was this nurse who always seemed to be at work. She knew instantly what was the problem when we stepped inside and always helped us. Since then, I always wanted to be a nurse, and to work at a hospital runs in the family. One of my biggest goals in life has always been to travel and experience things, and I'm living for tomorrow.

After elementary school, I thought about going to a medical focused high school, but I had a hard time at home at this stage in my life. Instead, I choosed a boarding school focused on equine care and training. I got to practice one of my biggest hobbies in life at school, and that school gave me the three best years of my life, so far. Now, four years after my exam, I'm ready and eager to study again.

The last four years I have worked as an instructor and headmaster on a school camp, as a cleaner and as a secretary at the hospital. In between jobs I studied some, by going to a different school and improved my grades in some of my existing courses. Beside that, I also added some courses required for the nursing programme that I did not get the chance to read in high school, such as math and science.

After my exam, I can see myself staying to work in London for two or three years, to get some experience, and then applying to the doctors without borders association. During my two preparing years in London, I will most likely study french since this is a common language in the most frequent locations where doctors without borders practice. I'm hoping to stay with them for one to two years, and then go back to either Sweden or London to further my education, most likely in the ambulance service or as a diabetic nurse.

As a person I am happy, humorous, caring, patient, stubborn and down to earth. I'm easily learned and interested, and especially when it comes to language. In my spare time, I enjoy painting and photographing since I'm a creative soul. My biggest goal in life is to be happy, and I want to be able to look back at my life when I'm older, and realise that I lived a rich one.

Most swedish youths goes to swedish college, meet someone there and then get stuck. Nothing wrong with that, but it is not what I'm looking for. The first time I visited London was back in 2007, I fell in love with the city instantly and I have visited London regularly since then. Its pulse and rhythm is different from what I'm used to, and there's always things going on. I want to take a walk in hampstead heath, I want to go to a theatre in west end and I want to put money in my wallet with the queen on them. Most of all, I want to be able to do all these things every day. I want to start off a new page in my book, to meet new and fascinating people, and I believe that Middlesex University is a lovely place to start my journey.

Thank you very much for considering my request. I look forward to your positive response.

Yours sincerely,

Sara Olsson.
