Application for leave

Please help me correct this application for leave letter. I would like to take leave for 25 odd days to attend a marriage.

Dear Sir

I would like to request for leave as  I have to attend my cousin sisters marriage at our native.
I shall be highly obliged if you can permit me to take  leave from 28th of October to 20th of November.

Hello, Max. I do not know which relative you are referring to by ' cousin sister '-- we do not use that form in English. Also, may I suggest that, in my culture at least, 3 weeks is far too long to request for a wedding!

1. Salutation is Okay. But why with due respect, you are writing an application for christ sake.
