Application essay - please help me! 1st version

Hello everybody!

I want to ask you for some help with my Application Essay for a scholarship program at US university. I am from Bulgaria, 20 years old. It's my first topic here. The university told me to apply 1 month earlier i.e. in a week. I haven't expected that and I'm not ready at all. This night I'm going to re-write the draft of my essay and I will upload it. I hope that uou will help me to improve it. Thank yuo in advance. I am gonna read the other topics about application essays in a minute.
The topic is : "Describe why you should receive a tuition scholarship in a page. Include academic achivements, goals and reasons for selecting our university"

This is only the beginning I have to make it longer and improve it. But I wanted to see if I'm getting the idea of how to write it:

I should receive a tuition scholarship because I am a smart, strong and persistent person with ambition and belief in myself. My purpose is to acquire a Bachelor degree of Business Administration at a demanding and accredited university. My desire is to gain broad knowledge of business and finance in order to prepare for further study and career achievements. This summer I participated in a cultural exchange program which gave me the chance to see and get to the heart of the American thinking and way of life. Getting acquainted with *** University I realized that the offered atmosphere there is fulfilling my desires. *** University offers excellent motivation, real study atmosphere, competition, diversity, accreditation of higher level. The information data base – *** Library is a dream for every student willing to gain broad knowledge or to make an exclusive research. The social life *** offers is tempting to very high degree. I would like to get a chance to participate in various activities and groups.
Why do I believe I will succeed? I take a great challenge in the things I do. I am a creatively thinking person. My experience proves that. My managers at workplace were surprised when I was bringing up a question or idea nobody thought about it before. I consider myself as broaden minded and I want my education to contribute to my personal and professional development and fulfillment. I need an active role in society which will be a challenge and stimulus for me. My personal qualities show that I am a strong, ambitious, persistent and responsible young person. I did my best at school and I finished as one of the best graduates with positive feedback of all my teachers for my respect, diligence and contribution to the school life.
Apart from the formal education I also take part in some extracurricular activities. I found a virtual internship with *** University which is a good experience for me in developing new ideas, marketing and presentations. Other of my extracurricular activities includes reading business, marketing, finance-related books and participating in sport activities – basketball and volleyball – both I trained at school. These school trainings taught me of discipline and organization and how to be a team player and maverick in the same time.
I want to contribute to *** University. I consider my choice to apply to *** University as one of the best decisions in my life and a step ahead towards fulfilling my dreams and ambitions.
