Hi) I gonna apply by one very big company. I have to answer many questions in english. I would really appreciate if somebody will read my answers and probebly correct the mistakes.Its a lot, of course i can not expect a school- like correction. But I am greatfull for every kind of help))

This summer I had to write my bachelor thesis. I already chose the topic (Welfare and Economical changes of Russian peasants after the abolition of selfdom in Russia 1861) and I supposed to do something more than a normal internet and library research to get a good mark. I decided to travel again to Volgograd and to make my research in the local archives there. I wanted to do a real scientific work. I contacted lecturers who helped me to plan my research there and to get financial support from my university. After I arrived Volgograd the problem was to get access to the archives there. I contacted some lecturers of the Volgograd State University I knew from my studying there and they helped me out. There were also further smaller problems but I solved any of them. I learned never to give up and that a solution of many problems is just to contact the right people. I passed, and my mark was 1,5.

During my time by "" I got more and more responsible tasks to do. As there was not enough stuff, so I had to be the deputy of the store manager on evenings. It was hard and scary to be responsible for the whole store. In my first evening as a deputy I had many problems with accounting, store management and solving customer’s issues. Of course I had the phone number of the manager, but I tried to call as rarely as I only could. But after a few days working I learned a couple of alternative ways to solve such problems. I asked my chief and noticed his answers during his work time, I thought twice before I called, I even googled for some issues. In short, I gained the experience to work independently, even under pressure of big responsibility. But I still won’t make a decision without being sure that it is the right way.

I was making an internship by "". This firm purchases foodstuffs from European manufacturers and sells it to Russian and Ukrainian retailers. I spent my holidays in Paris at that time and discovered there (by visiting a supermarket) a new product. I knew that this product does exist neither on Russian nor on German markets. But I thought that Russian/Ukrainian customers would be interested on it. Back in Germany, I told my chief about the idea to offer this product to our eastern partners. He let my try to get a price offer from the manufacturer of this product. I searched for contacts of the manufacturer, his retailers and negotiated about the price. I had to use my persuasion skills to get the information as exact and fast as I only could. I learned, that the first and sometimes even the most important step is to make sure, that my request arrives the right person. Finally, I got a couple of price offers and sent them to my chief. Shortly thereafter my internship ended, so I don’t know what decision the management made, regarding my idea. But I hope that "" has one article more in their assortment now.

After my degree I am seeking a traineeship in an international company. The participation in the “Programme” is a great opportunity to get such a traineeship. I hope to gain more practical experience in the supply chain management. Furthermore, it would be very desirable for me to work in one of the biggest international companies in the world, concerning the great carrier opportunities and my previous experiences with your company. During my internship I had to get and verify price offers of products “” was interested in. "" and its retailers were also our suppliers. I learned a lot about your company there and I like the job I did. So I decided to start my professional carrier in the supply chain and, after further internet research, to apply by "". You asked about getting 12,000 litres of ice cream across the dessert without it melting? I do not know the perfect answer yet, but I can find it out, and I already solved supply and logistic problems. Because of that, I am sure to master the challenges of a traineeship by "".
