Appears to be of the same dosage

dosage
1 a : the addition of an ingredient or the application of an agent in a measured dose
b : the presence and relative representation or strength of a factor or agent
2 a : dose
2 b (1) : the giving of a dose (2) : regulation or determination of doses
3 : an exposure to some experience in or as if in measured portions
[M-W's Col. Dic.]

Which definition of 'dosage' fits well in the context given below? I believe it's 1b, but I would have written 'appears to be of the same dosage'. What is your opinion on this? Please let me know.

Question:

Hi, I'm suffering from hair loss. I recently went for a checkup and the doctor told me to use Hairfin. What's the difference between Hairfin and Propecia? Also, what are the side effects? Does it cause sexual problems like Propecia or not? He also recommended minoxidil. What are the side effects of that?

Answer:
Though there doesn't appear to be much data available on Hairfin specifically, its active ingredient finasteride appears to be the same dosage and quantity as Propecia. Thus, as long as you are purchasing the medication through a legitimate source, Hairfin should be just as effective.
