appealing for financial aid

This letter is to appeal for financial aid. It must express extenuating circumstances that caused me to fall short the first time around and show the dean how I will be successful this time around. It must convince the dean to give me financial aid one last semester.

Hi this is blank blank I am studying Foodservice Management in the department of Family and Consumer Sciences. I have seven hours left to finish my degree. I am writing this appeals letter in order that I may receive financial aid in the spring semester of January 2013.
I had two bad relationships back to back that I realize contributed to me not putting the necessary time into my studies. Due to psychological abuse, and some physical abuse, these relationships caused me to become depressed. I lost hope motivation and desire to function in a healthy manner; as a result my grades reflected my situation.
Now that I have had time to look back over my life I realize that I made some silly mistakes that I cannot take back. I now live a life that is centered on God. I practice according to his words because I realize that my way wasn’t working. I now place positive people around me and try to be involved with someone who cares about others as I do. I realize that it is the small things that take us off tract but if you focus on the goal at hand, have a plan and a made up mind then you will have your victory.
