Apostrophy

Hello...

Usually, "John's hat" means the hat possessed by John.

But....

Salvation’s single doctrine is the goal of all therapy.
*********
The sentence will be the most ideal if the underlined part is understood to mean, (A) "the single doctrine of salvation", or "the single doctrine which is salvation", not to mean (B) "the single doctrine which is possessed by the salvation".

Is it allowed to interpret that way, the interpretation of (A)?

In other words, can it be understood to mean, "Salvation is the goal of all therapy"?

pructus Is it allowed to interpret that way, the interpretation of (A)? No; it means that salvation contains or consists of one doctrine, which presumably has a different name. You need to use one of your (A) paraphrases.

Thanks a lot, Micaw Micawber....

After some thought....
Mister Micawber You need to use one of your (A) paraphrases.
I was wondering if the sentence could be interpreted to mean (A).
Did you mean "You need to use (B) paraphrase"?
This is a little confusing...

The (B) understanding is natural and common, as in "John's hat".

No. Maybe I misunderstood your original question, but if you want it to mean what I thought you said you want it to mean ("Salvation is the goal of all therapy"), then you should use one of the (B) paraphrases.
