Apostrophe help!

Where is the correct place for the apostrophe is this instance? Before or after the s? The word is referring to mankind.

Hello! In the possessive case, the ' is before the s eg: John's dog, my sister's doll. However, if the name defining the possessor is in the plural ending with -s, you add only the ' and no s eg: my parents' car
