Apostrophe

Salam,

Can we use apostrophe when we're talking of the collective?

John is very clever. He can easily change everyone's mind.

John is very clever. He can easily change other people's minds.

Are both sentences okay? Should it be 'mind' for everyone and 'minds' for other people?
