Apology Letter
Hi,
I was just called by my immediate boss and told I should apologize in letter form to his boss.
Backstory: I've been reviewed for promotion by immediate boss and was sent to an interview to his boss (D.O.). The interview was in a rather big town that I frequently get lost in. Needless to say, I got lost on the way to the interview. Hopelessly lost. I was gone for three hours. I found out that I didn't have my cell phone on me and I couldn't call anyone and tell them. So I got home at 3:30 and the interview had been at noon. I got my boss on the phone to tell him and then called the D.O. and apologized to him. He responds by saying they'll just reschedule. Nothing about how long he'd waited or anything. Now he's not responding to e-mails my boss is sending to him about when the reschedule might be. So yeah, I need the best letter possible.
Dear D.O. ( leaving out name so ... internet ninjas don't eat him 0.o; )
I'm sorry about missing the invterview and not informing you until three hours later. I had left the house in a hurry, forgetting my cell phone in the process, so when I accidentally turned down the wrong exit and got myself hopelessly lost I couldn't inform you that I would be late or as it turned out miss it entirely.
I want you to know how sincerely sorry I am to have messed up that bad. I really wanted to make it so show you that I was ready to be a Shift runner. In fact, it's something I still wish to do. I hope you won't take the untimely call of mine as an insult to you. I'm still kicking myself over it. If you give me another chance I'll do my best to show that your confidence is rewarded.

If it happens to matter, this isn't a business setting. I just work in the food industry. So I'm going from a grunt to grunt leader.
