apologizing

I know sometimes I say things that hurt people. For that, I beg for your forgiveness. Also, thank you for putting up with me all this while.

Any mistakes in the sentences above?

A couple of questions:

Can 'all this while' be used to refer to a period as long as 5 years?

Which is correct, 'I beg forgiveness', 'I beg for forgiveness' or 'I beg for your forgiveness'?
