Patriotism and nationalism


To say; This is our country no matter it’s right or wrong is the same to say: This is our mother, no matter she’s drunk or not.

You cannot be blinded by patriotism as much as not to be able to look at facts as facts. Bad is bad, no matter who is doing it.

Patriotism is the passion of the stupid and the most stupid passion.

A lot of studies have proven that there’s a strong relationship between prejudices and patriotism. People being full of prejudices are usually superpatriots.

Patriotism is the conviction that our country is superior to others because we were born there.

It seems under dignity that someone’s soul should be imprisoned by geography.

Patriotism is the last refuge for bastards.

I never understood why someone should limit his adoration to one woman or one country.
