APA format related to use of acronyms

When an acronym is spelled out in the abstract of a paper, does this acronym need to also be spelled out in the introduction as well?

Hi, I would think so, but I'm not familiar with APA. Perhaps someone else will comment. However, I think you mean 'abbreviation'.
