AP STYLEBOOK

Is the AP Stylebook a great reference guide, even if you're not a journalist or not writing for a newspaper? I hear pros and cons on AP style. What's your spin?

Hi MFG, and welcome to English Forums, I have one on my book shelf and I turn to it frequently. While we have an in-house style guide, sometimes it's a convenient way to look something up and it gives you a standard when you're not sure what to do. You can always choose to ignore an AP guidelines, which are for journalists filing reports on the wire, if they don't work for you.
