Hi.

"A galaxy cluster is a structure that consists of anywhere from hundreds to thousands of galaxies bound together by gravity." [From the Wikipedia.]

Is "anywhere" a noun or an adverb in this sentence?

Or something in between: a noun used partly in an adverb-like way, or the other way round. That's where I'm not sure.
