Anyway, anyways.

Hello.
waves
Nice forum you people have here.Emotion: smile

So, I have one question that has been bugging me for ever.

Is it "anyway" or "anyways".
Or do they have different meaning/useages.

Thanks on advance.

Very interesting question, Guest, because the answer surprised me. I was going to say that 'anyways' is a non-standard, colloquial form of 'anyway'. Webster's , however, says that 'anyways' is an archaic and dialect form of 'anyway'.

  • Both carry the same meaning, but I would suggest that 'anyway' is the more acceptable form.
