Yes; it doesn't make sense. Is this what you mean?—

A lot of things about you are fading from my memory.

Correct as shown, but note that "fading in my soul" is rather flowery, not to say mystical. You'd probably do better to say it more plainly.

It is grammatically correct, but note that being grammatically correct is not enough. The sentence should be meaningful and idiomatic as well.

Generally, googling complete sentences will produce fewer results than if you google just the phrase that concerns you. Often, with a verb phrase, simply changing from present to past tense can radically affect the search results.

What are you talking about? MOST of the dictionaries use present tense instead of past tense, and please don't encourage users to refer to random google results instead of dictionaries!:P
