Usage

Anyplace -or- any place?

Hi,
I have a question I'd like to ask about using the words "anyplace" and "any place"? Can these terms be used interchangeably? The other day, I was reading an online article and noticed someone used "anyplace", putting both words together as a compound, instead of using two words, "any place". I did a look up of 'anyplace' and noticed mention that it can be used as an adverb or in situations where "anywhere" can also be used.
In the following example, I'm curious as to which usage is correct:

Is he going to perform anyplace else?
Is he going to perform any place else?

Does it matter or can both be used? Or is it depend on the kind of style the writer wishes to use here?
What about this final example:
Is there anyplace else you'd like to go?
Is there any place else you'd like to go?

Couldn't "anyplace' be used here as well and it is functioning as an adverb in the above sentences?
thanks,
tysteel
