I think this means "is anyone scheduled for the next game," i.e. using the court.

The idea is that if a game is in progress there will, clearly, be a winner at some point (barring natural disasters, terrorist attacks, acts of war, etc. ) so that the person placing the coins on the table will play the eventual winner.
