anymore than...

Is this a correct comparison. Is anymore used in place of more because it is followed by than? Is this how you should sayit ?
He doesn't want to leave anymore than I want to stay.

It is two words there: He doesn't want to leave any more than I want to stay. One word (anymore) means 'any longer'. I don't like him anymore.
