Anybody can help with this sentence please?

Question

"I certainly did some basic science back in the day, but as time went by, my memories of those knowledge have definitely gone hazy and I definitely need to refresh it for realsies."

I just think that the memories being hazy part's kind of weird,
since the subject is a substantial subject of learning, not just random memories of some period of time,
but then again, I could be wrong though:)

The speaker is enforcing the idea that his remembrance of basic science has become rather poor and he is expressing his desire to refresh his memory on the topic.

It's fairly common to speak of having "hazy memories" and is perfectly acceptable in this sentence, especially since it is obviously very informal given the use of the slang term "realsies."

I do question the use of "those knowledge" (it should be "that knowledge"), I wonder if it was transcribed incorrectly. I find it hard to believe that a native speaker would make that kind of mistake even in a very informal setting.

You can easily improve this sentence by breaking it up into a few sentences instead of a single long one.

For example, I would say something like, "I certainly had basic science classes back in the day, but as time went on, my memories of science became hazy. I definitely need to refresh my skills."

The basic idea that the speaker's memories of the science classes has faded, but wishing to renew his knowledge, is still there. The way I presented the sentence sounds much more formal and less awkward than the original sentence.
