I'm an English teacher in a secondary school and I have a doubt that has to do with the use of some and any. I've always thought that any can only be used with countable plural nouns in negative and interrogative contexts, however one of my students came up with one example and it sounds good to me. My question is if I could say "There isn't any car in the garage".
Thanks for your help.
